Comfort Food

Familiar & comfortable. When we feel like eating out but yet are not quite motivated to check out an exciting/promising/well-talked-about new joint or the restaurant du jour, there are a few reliable old favourites we fall back on. Hearty food, nice space, consistent quality and approachable price-point.

Din Tai Fung is predictable, but checks the criteria and it’s Chinese food that’s been love at first taste.

It’s so comfortable that, I’m a little bit embarrassed to say, I’ve dined at Din Tai Fung in Shanghai & Taipei :P

It’s almost like MacDonalds on a different level.

We particular like the Paragon branch :)

Indian Summer

Loading up the van for three hours from Chennai to Vellore // Got a shot of the taxi line at Chennai airport. Are these vehicles for real? // It’s a constant endeavor to travel light, but impossible to decide which book to take along to fill vacant moments.

The most striking thing about India was the authenticity of it all. Perhaps because we didn’t spend too long in the uber urban areas // A walk in the park // Plastic recycling space.

Vellore city // the streets // a shot of the nearby mountains from the grounds of Narayani Vidyalaya School.

Here’s looking at you, babe!

Is that a mantis? // Monkey magic.
